  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  266.30  EXTENSION SERVICES TO 4=
  1  2 H.
  1  3    Notwithstanding section 262.47, extension services provided
  1  4 by the Iowa cooperative extension service in agriculture and
  1  5 home economics of Iowa state university to the 4=H
  1  6 organization and its clubs shall be provided free of charge.
  1  7 This section shall not be construed to prohibit the university
  1  8 from seeking voluntary contributions from individuals to cover
  1  9 the costs of providing extension services to the 4=H
  1 10 organization and its clubs.
  1 11                           EXPLANATION
  1 12    This bill requires that extension services provided by Iowa
  1 13 state university's Iowa cooperative extension service in
  1 14 agriculture and home economics to the 4=H organization and its
  1 15 clubs must be provided free of charge.
  1 16    The bill allows the university to seek voluntary
  1 17 contributions from individuals to cover the costs of providing
  1 18 extension services to the 4=H organization and its clubs.
