  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99B.1, subsection 14, Code Supplement
  1  2 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    14.  "Game of chance" means a game whereby the result is
  1  4 determined by chance and the player in order to win aligns
  1  5 objects or balls in a prescribed pattern or order or makes
  1  6 certain color patterns appear and specifically includes but is
  1  7 not limited to the game defined as bingo.  Game of chance
  1  8 includes a game using pull-tab tickets.  Game of chance does
  1  9 not include a slot machine.
  1 10    Sec. 2.  Section 99B.7, subsection 1, Code Supplement 2003,
  1 11 is amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1 12    NEW PARAGRAPH.  q.  Games of chance that use pull=tab
  1 13 tickets shall only be conducted during a bingo occasion.
  1 14                           EXPLANATION
  1 15    This bill provides that games of chance which may be
  1 16 conducted by certain qualified organizations includes games
  1 17 that use pull=tab tickets.  The bill requires that games using
  1 18 pull=tab tickets be conducted during the same time as a bingo
  1 19 occasion.
