  3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 805.8A, subsection 14, paragraph d,
  1  2 Code Supplement 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    d.  LITTER AND DEBRIS VIOLATIONS.  For violations under
  1  4 sections 321.369 and 321.370, the scheduled fine is thirty=
  1  5 five seventy dollars.
  1  6    Sec. 2.  Section 805.8B, subsection 6, paragraph b, Code
  1  7 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  8    b.  For violations under sections 461A.40, 461A.43,
  1  9 461A.46, and 461A.49, the scheduled fine is fifteen dollars.
  1 10    Sec. 3.  Section 805.8B, subsection 6, Code 2003, is
  1 11 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1 12    NEW PARAGRAPH.  e.  For violations under section 461A.43,
  1 13 the scheduled fine is thirty dollars.
  1 14                           EXPLANATION
  1 15    This bill raises the scheduled fine for littering or
  1 16 placing debris on a public highway from $35 to $70.  The bill
  1 17 also raises the scheduled fine for littering in a state park
  1 18 from $15 to $30.
