  1  1    Section 1.  Section 692A.1, subsection 5, paragraph i, Code
  1  2 Supplement 2003, is amended by striking the paragraph.
  1  3    Sec. 2.  Section 692A.1, subsection 7, paragraph d, Code
  1  4 Supplement 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  5    d.  Incest in violation of section 726.2.
  1  6    e.  A criminal offense committed in another jurisdiction
  1  7 which would constitute an indictable offense under paragraphs
  1  8 "a" through "c" "d" if committed in this state.
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill requires a person who is convicted of any type of
  1 11 incest in violation of Code section 726.2 to register as a sex
  1 12 offender.  Under current law, a person who commits incest
  1 13 against a minor has to register as a sex offender.
