IT
ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
714.8,
Code
2026,
is
amended
by
adding
the
following
new
subsections:
NEW
SUBSECTION
.
6A.
For
the
purpose
of
obtaining
employment
or
other
personal
gain,
knowingly
and
with
intent
falsely
represents
oneself
as
possessing
an
academic
degree
or
academic
credentials.
NEW
SUBSECTION

6B.
For
the
purpose
of
obtaining
employment
or
other
personal
gain,
knowingly
and
with
intent
falsely
represents
oneself
as
possessing
a
professional
or
occupational
license
regulated
under
chapter
272C.
Sec.

subsection

2026,
is
amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

the

A
fraudulent
practice
where
for
which
the
amount
of
money
or
value
of
property
or
services
involved
does
not
exceed
three
hundred
dollars.
