GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
483A.24,
subsection
9,
Code
2022,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
9.
A
resident
of
the
state
under
sixteen
years
of
age
is
not
required
to
have
a
hunting
or
fur
harvester
license
to
accompany
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian,
or
any
other
competent
adult
with
the
consent
of
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian,
while
the
parent
or
guardian
or
other
adult
is
hunting
raccoons
or
trapping
any
game
or
fur-bearing
animal
so

is
not

or

and
does
not
carry
or
use
a
firearm
or
any
other
weapon.
