ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
261.87,
subsection
1,
paragraph
b,
subparagraph
(3),
unnumbered
paragraph
1,
Code
2019,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
Is
age
eighteen
through
twenty-three
and
is
described
by
any
of
the
following:
Sec.

Section
261.87,
subsection

paragraph
d,
unnumbered
paragraph
1,
Code
2019,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
“Eligible
surviving-child
student”
means
a
qualified
student
who
is
under
the
age
of
twenty-six,
or
under
the
age
of
thirty
if
the
student
is
a
veteran
who
is
eligible
for
benefits,
or
has
exhausted
the
benefits,
under
the
federal
Post-9/11
Veterans
Educational
Assistance
Act
of
2008
;
who
is
not
a
Senate
File
246,
p.

convicted
felon
as
defined
in
section
910.15
;
and
who
meets
any
of
the
following
criteria:
