Senate File 2289 - Enrolled Senate File 2289 AN ACT RELATING TO THE JOINT EXERCISE OF GOVERNMENT POWERS BY FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED INDIAN TRIBES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: Section 1. Section 28E.2, subsection 2, Code 2018, is amended to read as follows: 2. “Public agency” shall mean any political subdivision of this state; any agency of the state government or of the United States; and any political subdivision of another state.
