If the The board of directors of a school district has 5 established a fee for the cost of a student’s participation 6 in an extracurricular interscholastic athletic contest or 7 competition, a student who is enrolled in a nonpublic school 8 and is participating in a contest or competition at a public 9 school pursuant to paragraph “a” or “b” , or the student’s parent 10 or guardian, shall be responsible for the payment of such fee. 11 The amount of such fee shall not exceed the amount of the fee 12 the board of directors of the school district has established 13 for students who are enrolled in the school district shall 14 charge a fee of up to two hundred dollars to each student 15 who is enrolled in a nonpublic school or a charter school 16 established pursuant to chapter 256E, subchapter I, and who is 17 participating in an extracurricular interscholastic contest 18 or competition or extracurricular activity at a public school 19 pursuant to paragraph “a” or “b” .
