A city that receives payment from a township pursuant 26 to a township’s levy for fire protection or emergency medical 27 services pursuant to section 359.43 shall deposit such payments 28 into the city’s rural fire protection fund. The city shall use 29 moneys in the rural fire protection fund only for purposes of 30 providing fire protection and emergency medical services. 31 3. NEW SECTION . 384.12B Fire protection services 1 —— contracts with other cities. 2 A city that receives payment from another city pursuant to 3 a contract to provide fire protection services shall only use 4 moneys received for purposes of providing fire protection and 5 emergency medical services. The city shall credit the fire 6 department’s budget in an amount equal to the amount paid by 7 the contracting city. > 8 7. terminating the agreement. 1 2. A township in a county with a population of not less 2 than fourteen thousand four hundred eighty-four but not more 3 than fifty-two thousand four hundred three according to the 4 2020 federal decennial census shall remain party to any binding 5 agreement entered into prior to January 1, 2029, until the 6 expiration of the agreement unless two-thirds of the appointed 7 township trustees and two-thirds of the county board of 8 supervisors vote in favor of amending the expiration date or 9 terminating the agreement. 10 3.
