Section 714.8, Code 2026, is amended by adding 5 the following new subsections: 6 NEW SUBSECTION . 6A. For the purpose of obtaining employment 7 or other personal gain, knowingly and with intent falsely 8 represents oneself as possessing an academic degree or academic 9 credentials. 10 NEW SUBSECTION . 6B. For the purpose of obtaining employment 11 or other personal gain, knowingly and with intent falsely 12 represents oneself as possessing a professional or occupational 13 license regulated under chapter 272C. 14 Sec. 2. Section 714.11, subsection 1, Code 2026, is amended 15 by adding the following new paragraph: 16 NEW PARAGRAPH . d. A fraudulent practice as set forth in 17 section 714.8, subsection 6B. 18 Sec. 3. Section 714.13, subsection 1, Code 2026, is amended 19 to read as follows: 20 1. Fraudulent practice in the fifth degree is a any of the 21 following: 22 a. A fraudulent practice where for which the amount of money 23 or value of property or services involved does not exceed three 24 hundred dollars. 25 b.
