A sexual assault forensic examination center grant 6 program trust fund is created in the state treasury under 7 the control of the department of justice. The department of 8 justice may accept gifts, grants, bequests, and other private 9 contributions, as well as state or federal moneys, for deposit 10 in the fund. All moneys deposited in the trust fund are 11 appropriated and made available to the department of justice 12 to be used for the purposes meeting the requirements of this 13 section and to provide grants to sexual assault forensic 14 examination centers in this state. Notwithstanding section 15 12C.7, subsection 2, interest or earnings on moneys in the fund 16 shall be credited to the fund. > 17 4.
