On or before January 1, 2029, the 3 judicial branch shall submit a report to the general assembly 4 on the performance of the business court established under 5 section 602.6801, as enacted in this Act. The report must 6 include but is not limited to all of the following: 7 1. The average number of days from filing to final 8 disposition of business court cases. 9 2. A side-by-side comparison of the number of days from 10 filing to final disposition of business court cases with the 11 number of days from filing to final disposition of comparable 12 commercial civil litigation on the district court docket. 13 3. The total number of cases filed in, transferred away 14 from, dismissed from, or retained on the business court docket 15 as provided in section 602.6804, as enacted in this Act. 16 4. A detailed accounting of all personnel costs, including 17 judicial salaries, clerk support, and administrative overhead 18 of the business court. 19 5. An estimate of the cost savings, if any, of district 20 courts due to the operations of the business court. 21 6. The total amount of court fees collected for cases in the 22 business court. 23 7. The percentage of time, if any, that business court 24 judges spend on non-business-court civil litigation cases in 25 district court. 26 8. Anonymized survey data from legal counsel and other 27 litigants regarding the perceived expertise, fairness, 28 efficiency, and predictability of the business court. 29 9. The number and outcome of appeals of business court 30 decisions compared to the general reversal rate for civil 31 litigation case decisions. > 32 2.
