Section 204.2, subsection 2, paragraph e, Code 5 2026, is amended to read as follows: 6 e. “Consumable hemp product” does not include a hemp any of 7 the following: 8 (1) A hemp product if the intended use of the hemp 9 product is introduction into the human body by any method of 10 inhalation, as prohibited under section 204.14A . 11 (2) Minimally processed hemp as defined in section 204A.2. 12 Sec. ___. Section 204A.2, Code 2026, is amended by adding 13 the following new subsection: 14 NEW SUBSECTION . 9A. a. “Minimally processed hemp” means 15 all of the following: 16 (1) Hemp that is in a form attributable to harvesting, 17 drying, curing, trimming, packaging, or customary post-harvest 18 handling. 19 (2) Hemp that has not been subject to alteration by any 20 means, including but not limited to any of the following: 21 (a) A chemical conversion. 22 (b) An added nonbotanical substance. 23 b. “Minimally processed hemp” includes hemp that has been 24 subject to a process of combining or blending the hemp with 25 one or more plant-based substances, if the resulting material 26 remains in an unadulterated form. 27 c. “Minimally processed hemp” does not include a consumable 28 hemp product as regulated under chapter 204. 29 Sec. ___. NEW SECTION . 204A.8A Agricultural commodity. 30 1. a. Hemp that is produced in compliance with the federal 31 hemp law shall be considered as an agricultural commodity 32 regulated by the department as an article under this subtitle. 33 b.
