Within thirty days of sine die 10 for the 2026 legislative session, the department of health and 11 human services shall convene the task force that was required 12 to be created in the settlement approved by the state appeal 13 board in 2023 to review the implementation of the child safety 14 recommendations from the report released by the Iowa office 15 of ombudsman on September 8, 2020. The task force shall meet 16 as necessary to create a final report that details the task 17 force’s findings. The task force shall submit the final report 18 to the house of representatives government oversight committee 19 and the senate government oversight committee no later than 20 February 10, 2027. > 21 3.
