Section 96.7, Code 2025, is amended by adding the 3 following new subsection: 4 NEW SUBSECTION . 13. International outsourcing —— agreement 5 with department —— applicability of amendments. 6 a. An employer may execute a written agreement with the 7 department whereby the employer agrees not to outsource any 8 jobs at a work site in this state to a work site in another 9 country or to another employer or contractor whereby an 10 equivalent job will be performed in another country. 11 b. The provisions of this Act amending this section shall 12 apply only to an employer that has executed an agreement as 13 provided in paragraph “a” , and only during the term of such an 14 agreement and subject to compliance with the agreement. 15 c. The department shall adopt rules pursuant to chapter 17A 16 to administer this subsection. > 17 2.
