NEW SECTION . 483A.8D Disabled veterans —— deer 4 hunting licenses. 5 1. A disabled veteran who is a resident may be issued 6 one any sex deer hunting license to hunt deer during any 7 established firearm deer hunting season using the method of 8 take authorized for the season being hunted. A person who 9 applies for a license pursuant to this section shall complete a 10 form, as required by rule, that provides proof of the person’s 11 resident and disability status. 12 2. A person may obtain a license under this section in 13 addition to any other deer hunting license for which the person 14 is eligible. 15 3. For purposes of this section, “disabled veteran” means 16 a person who has served in the armed forces of the United 17 States on federal active duty and who was disabled during the 18 veteran’s military service, as verified by the department of 19 veterans affairs. > 20 2.
