562B.10,
subsection
5,
Code
2024,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

5.
a.
Rental
agreements
shall
be
for
a
term
of
one
year

unless
otherwise
specified
in
the
rental
agreement.
Rental

agreements
shall
be
canceled
by
at
least
ninety
days’
written
8
notice
given
by
either
party.
A
landlord
shall
only
cancel
9
a
rental
agreement
if
the
tenant
has
violated
the
rental
10
agreement
and
shall
not
cancel
a
rental
agreement
solely
for
11
the
purpose
of
making
the
tenant’s
mobile
home
space
available
12
for
another
mobile
home.

b.
At
the
completion
of
a
rental
term,
unless
the
landlord
14
is
no
longer
renting
the
mobile
home
space,
the
landlord
shall
15
offer
to
renew
the
rental
agreement
for
another
term
lasting
16
one
year
or,
upon
request
of
the
tenant,
a
shorter
term.

Sec.
2.
Section
562B.14,
subsection
7,
Code
2024,
is
amended

to
read
as
follows:

7.
Each
tenant
shall
be
notified,
in
writing,
of
any
rent
20
increase
at
least
ninety
days
before
the
effective
date.
Such
21
effective
date
shall
not
be
sooner
than
the
expiration
date
22
of
the
original
rental
agreement
or
any
renewal
or
extension
23
thereof.
The
landlord
shall
not
increase
the
amount
of
rent
24
more
than
once
per
year.
