For
purposes
of
this
section,
unless
the
context

otherwise
requires:

a.
“Broad-spectrum
cannabidiol”
means
any
pharmaceutical
9
grade
cannabinoid
found
in
the
plant
Cannabis
sativa
L.
or
10
Cannabis
indica
or
any
other
preparation
thereof
that
contains
11
no
tetrahydrocannabinol.
“Broad-spectrum
cannabidiol”
does
not
12
include
“medical
cannabidiol”
as
defined
in
section
124E.2.
13
b.
“Broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product”
means
a
product
14
that
contains
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
and
contains
no
15
tetrahydrocannabinol.

c.
“Licensed
health
care
professional”
means
the
same
as
17
provided
in
section
280.16,
subsection
1.
18
d.
“School
nurse”
means
the
same
as
provided
in
section
19
280.16A,
subsection
1.

2.
The
board
of
directors
in
charge
of
each
school
district
21
and
the
authorities
in
charge
of
each
accredited
nonpublic
22
school
shall
establish
procedures
for
a
school
nurse
to
23
provide
a
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product
to
a
student.
The
24
policy
must
provide
that
a
school
nurse
shall
only
provide
a
25
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product
to
a
student
if
the
product
26
was
provided
to
the
school
district
or
school
by
the
parent
27
or
guardian
of
the
student
and
if
the
product
is
provided
in
28
accordance
with
written
instructions
provided
by
the
parent
29
or
guardian.
The
policy
shall
provide
for
the
broad-spectrum
30
cannabidiol
product
to
be
stored
in
a
secure
location
when
not
31
in
use.

3.
The
policy
established
pursuant
to
subsection
2
must
33
provide
for
a
form
for
a
parent
or
guardian
that
shall
be
34
filled
out
to
the
satisfaction
of
the
school
district
or
school

and
signed
before
the
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product
is

provided
to
the
student.
The
form
must
include
all
of
the

following:

a.
Instructions
to
the
school
district
or
school
on
the

use
of
the
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product,
including
5
the
specific
circumstances
under
which
the
product
is
to
6
be
provided
and,
if
applicable,
the
time
and
frequency
for
7
providing
the
product
and
the
expiration
date
of
the
product.
8
b.
Authorization
for
the
school
district
or
school
to
9
provide
the
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product
to
the
student
10
in
accordance
with
the
instructions.
11
c.
Certification
that
the
product
provided
by
the
parent
or
12
guardian
is
a
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product.
13
d.
Contact
information
for
the
parent
or
guardian
and
for
a
14
licensed
health
care
professional
who
provides
medical
care
for
15
the
student.
16
4.
The
parent
or
guardian
shall
include
with
the
form
17
written
documentation
that
the
product
provided
by
the
parent
18
or
guardian
is
a
broad-spectrum
cannabidiol
product,
which
19
shall
include
documentation
from
the
manufacturer
of
the
20
product
specifically
indicating
that
the
product
contains
no
21
tetrahydrocannabinol.
