As
used
in
this
section,
“financial
institution”
means

and
includes
any
bank
incorporated
under
the
provisions
of

any
state
or
federal
law,
any
savings
and
loan
association

incorporated
under
the
provisions
of
federal
law,
any
credit

union
organized
under
the
provisions
of
any
state
or
federal
11
law,
any
corporation
licensed
as
an
industrial
loan
company
12
under
chapter
536A,
and
any
affiliate
of
a
bank,
savings
and
13
loan
association,
credit
union,
or
industrial
loan
company.

2.
Notwithstanding
any
provision
of
law
to
the
contrary,
a

financial
institution
shall
not
refuse
or
discontinue
service

to
a
person
for
anticipated
criticism
as
a
result
of
engaging

in
business
with
such
person,
or
for
any
of
the
following

reasons:

A
person
holding
controversial
political
views.

b.

person
subject
to
controversy
