Page 1, by striking lines 24 through 32 and inserting: 3 < (9) (a) Self-administered hormonal contraceptives. 4 (b) The statewide protocols shall require all of the 5 following: 6 (i) That a pharmacist may initially dispense only 7 a three-month supply of a self-administered hormonal 8 contraceptive. 9 (ii) That a pharmacist shall not dispense a subsequent 10 supply of the same initial self-administered hormonal 11 contraceptive without a prescription drug order from a 12 practitioner. 13 (c) For the purposes of this subparagraph: 14 (i) “Practitioner” means the same as defined in section 15 155A.3. 16 (ii) “Prescription drug order” means the same as defined in 17 section 155A.3. 18 (iii) “Self-administered hormonal contraceptive” means a 19 self-administered hormonal contraceptive that is approved by 20 the United States food and drug administration to prevent 21 pregnancy. “Self-administered hormonal contraceptive” includes 22 an oral hormonal contraceptive, a hormonal vaginal ring, and 23 a hormonal contraceptive patch, but does not include any drug 24 intended to induce an abortion as defined in section 146.1. > 25 ______________________________ STOLTENBERG of Scott -1- SF 326.1285 (1) 90 pf/rh 1/ 1 #1.
