Section 135.190, subsection 1, paragraph d, Code 5 2022, is amended to read as follows: 6 d. “Person in a position to assist” means a family member, 7 friend, caregiver, health care provider, employee of a 8 substance abuse treatment facility, school employee, or other 9 person who may be in a place to render aid to a person at risk 10 of experiencing an opioid-related overdose. 11 Sec. ___. Section 135.190, Code 2022, is amended by adding 12 the following new subsection: 13 NEW SUBSECTION . 4A. A school district may obtain a valid 14 prescription for an opioid antagonist and maintain a supply of 15 opioid antagonists in a secure location at each location where 16 a student may be present for use as provided in this section. > 17 ___.
