Page 3, by striking lines 1 through 35 and inserting: 3 < DIVISION ___ 4 FACIAL COVERING POLICIES —— COUNTIES, CITIES, AND SCHOOLS 5 Sec. ___. NEW SECTION . 280.31 Facial coverings. 6 The board of directors of a school district, the 7 superintendent or chief administering officer of a school 8 or school district, and the authorities in charge of each 9 accredited nonpublic school shall not adopt, enforce, or 10 implement a policy that requires its employees, students, or 11 members of the public to wear a facial covering for any purpose 12 while on the school district’s or accredited nonpublic school’s 13 property unless the facial covering is necessary for a specific 14 extracurricular or instructional purpose, or is required by 15 section 280.10 or 280.11 or any other provision of law. 16 Sec. ___. Section 331.301, Code 2021, is amended by adding 17 the following new subsection: 18 NEW SUBSECTION . 19. A county shall not adopt an ordinance, 19 motion, resolution, or amendment, or use any other means, that 20 requires the owner of real property to implement a policy 21 relating to the use of facial coverings that is more stringent 22 than a policy imposed by the state. 23 Sec. ___. Section 364.3, Code 2021, is amended by adding the 24 following new subsection: 25 NEW SUBSECTION . 14. A city shall not adopt an ordinance, 26 motion, resolution, or amendment, or use any other means, that 27 requires the owner of real property to implement a policy 28 relating to the use of facial coverings that is more stringent 29 than a policy imposed by the state. > 30 2.
