Section 135.190, subsection 1, paragraph d, Code 3 2022, is amended to read as follows: 4 d. “Person in a position to assist” means a family member, 5 friend, caregiver, health care provider, employee of a 6 substance abuse treatment facility, school employee, or other 7 person who may be in a place to render aid to a person at risk 8 of experiencing an opioid-related overdose. 9 Sec. ___. Section 135.190, Code 2022, is amended by adding 10 the following new subsection: 11 NEW SUBSECTION . 4A. A school district may obtain a valid 12 prescription for an opioid antagonist and maintain a supply of 13 opioid antagonists in a secure location at each location where 14 a student may be present for use as provided in this section. > 15 2.
