House File 2447 H-8125 Amend House File 2447 as follows: 1 1. By striking everything after the enacting clause and 2 inserting: 3 < Section 1. Section 708.2, Code 2022, is amended by adding 4 the following new subsection: 5 NEW SUBSECTION . 3A. A person who commits a violation of 6 subsection 2 or 3 against another person who the person knows 7 or reasonably should know is a pregnant person is guilty of a 8 class “D” felony. 9 Sec. 2. Section 708.2A, subsection 2, Code 2022, is amended 10 by adding the following new paragraph: 11 NEW PARAGRAPH . e. A class “D” felony, if the domestic 12 abuse assault is committed against a person who is known to be, 13 or reasonably should be known to be, pregnant, and that is a 14 violation of paragraph “b” , “c” , or “d” . 15 Sec. 3. Section 708.2A, subsection 3, Code 2022, is amended 16 by adding the following new paragraph: 17 NEW PARAGRAPH . c.
