Section 257.11, Code 2022, is amended by adding 3 the following new subsection: 4 NEW SUBSECTION . 7A. Student activity fund. 5 a. For school budget years beginning on or after July 1, 6 2022, supplementary weighting of one one-thousandth per pupil 7 shall be assigned to pupils included in the budget enrollment 8 of the school district. 9 b. Amounts received as the result of supplementary weighting 10 under this subsection shall be deposited in the school 11 district’s student activity fund and be used for the purposes 12 under section 298A.8, subsection 1. > 13 2. Page 6, after line 1 by inserting: 14 < Sec. ___. Section 298A.8, subsection 1, Code 2022, is 15 amended to read as follows: 16 1. The student activity fund is a special revenue fund. 17 A student activity fund must be established in any school 18 corporation receiving money from student-related activities 19 such as admissions, activity fees, student dues, student 20 fund-raising events, or other student-related cocurricular or 21 extracurricular activities. Moneys in this fund , including 22 amounts under section 257.11, subsection 7A, shall be used 23 to support only the cocurricular or extracurricular program 24 defined in department of education administrative rules. > 25 3.
