The department shall order an external independent 6 investigation of the Anamosa correctional facility related 7 to the March 23, 2021, attack by two inmates of the facility 8 resulting in the death of two members of the correctional 9 staff. Results of the investigation shall be presented to 10 the general assembly, the governor, and the director of the 11 department o£ corrections. 12 2.
