REVERSION. 8 1. For Except as provided in subsection 2, for purposes 9 of section 8.33 , unless specifically provided otherwise, 10 unencumbered or unobligated moneys made from an appropriation 11 in this division of this Act shall not revert but shall remain 12 available for expenditure for the purposes designated until the 13 close of the fiscal year that ends three years after the end of 14 the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made. However, 15 if the project or projects for which such appropriation was 16 made are completed in an earlier fiscal year, unencumbered 17 or unobligated moneys shall revert at the close of that same 18 fiscal year. 19 2. For purposes of section 8.33, unless specifically 20 provided otherwise, unencumbered or unobligated moneys 21 appropriated and allocated for the costs associated with 22 maintenance projects for the state historical building in 23 section 1, subsection 4, paragraph “b”, in this division of 24 this 2017 Iowa Act, shall not revert but shall remain available 25 for the purpose designated until the close of the fiscal year 26 that begins July 1, 2021. > 27 5.
