not

center”
means
the

as

“Operator”

the

“Underground
facility”
means
the

The
utilities
division
of
the
department
of
commerce

shall
convene
and
oversee
a
task
force
to
conduct
a
study
of

the
operation
and
effectiveness
of
the
notification
center.

The
study
shall
include
an
examination
of
all
of
the
following:

a.
The
impact
of
a
change
from
the
forty-eight-hour
23
notification
period
specified
in
section
480.4
to
a
different
24
notification
period.
25
b.
Options
and
recommendations
for
the
development
of
a
26
certificate
program
for
locators
in
the
state.
27
c.
How
the
board
and
the
office
of
the
attorney
general
may
28
collaborate
and
make
recommendations
regarding
improvements
to
29
the
operation
of
the
notification
center.
30
d.
How
to
improve
the
process
for
obtaining
the
31
recommendations
of
the
board
of
directors
of
the
notification

center
regarding
potential
changes
to
chapter
480.

e.
Whether
a
legislative
interim
study
committee
should

be
established
to
provide
recommendations
regarding
potential
