Section 481A.134, Code 2021, is amended to read 3 as follows: 4 481A.134 Authority to cancel, suspend, or revoke license —— 5 point system. 6 The department shall establish rules pursuant to chapter 7 17A providing for the suspension or revocation of licenses 8 issued by the department. The rules may include procedures 9 for summary cancellation of a license based on documentation 10 that the licensee failed to pay the applicable fee for the 11 license. For purposes of determining when to suspend or revoke 12 a license issued by the department under this section , the 13 department shall adopt a point system pursuant to chapter 17A 14 for the purpose of weighing the seriousness of violations of 15 the provisions of this chapter or chapter 481B , 482 , 483A , 16 484A , or 484B , or of committing trespass as defined in section 17 716.7 while hunting coyotes or deer, other than farm deer as 18 defined in section 170.1 or preserve whitetail as defined in 19 section 484C.1 . The weighted scale may be amended from time 20 to time as experience dictates. 21 Sec. ___. Section 483A.21, subsection 2, Code 2021, is 22 amended to read as follows: 23 2. a. The magistrate shall revoke the hunting license 24 or suspend the privilege of procuring a hunting license for 25 a period of one year two years of any person who has been 26 convicted twice or more within a year three-year period of 27 trespassing while hunting any of the following crimes while 28 hunting: 29 (1) Trespassing . 30 (2) Causing damage to property. 31 (3) Causing injury or death to livestock or pets. 32 b. If any of the license privileges of a licensee who 33 purchased more than one license privilege is revoked, the 34 remaining license privileges of the licensee shall still be 35 -1- HF557.872 (2) 89 js/rn 1/ 2 #1.
