provision of the salary data shall be determined by the 1 department of management and the legislative services agency. 2 Sec. ___. Section 8.35A, subsection 1, Code 2020, is amended 3 to read as follows: 4 1. By July 1, the director of the department of management, 5 in conjunction with the director of the department of 6 administrative services and the chief information officer of 7 the state , shall provide a projected expenditure breakdown 8 of each appropriation for the beginning fiscal year to the 9 legislative services agency in the form and level of detail 10 requested by the legislative services agency. By the fifteenth 11 of each month, the director, in conjunction with the director 12 of the department of administrative services and the chief 13 information officer of the state , shall transmit to the 14 legislative services agency a record for each appropriation 15 of actual expenditures for the prior month of the fiscal year 16 and the fiscal year to date in the form and level of detail 17 as requested by the legislative services agency. By October 18 1, the director, in conjunction with the director of the 19 department of administrative services and the chief information 20 officer of the state , shall transmit the total record of an 21 appropriation, including reversions and transfers for the prior 22 fiscal year ending June 30, to the legislative services agency. 23 Sec. ___. EFFECTIVE DATE. This division of this Act, being 24 deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 25 DIVISION ___ 26 INTERNET EXCHANGE POINT FEASIBILITY STUDY 27 Sec. ___. INTERNET EXCHANGE POINT FEASIBILITY STUDY. The 28 office of the chief information officer and the Iowa 29 telecommunications and technology commission shall jointly 30 conduct a feasibility study regarding the construction and 31 installation of an internet exchange point. The office and the 32 commission shall assess a timeline to construct and install an 33 internet exchange point, the cost to construct and install an 34 internet exchange point, internet exchange point maintenance 35 -2- SF2349.4402.H (1) 88 md 2/ 3
requirements, internet exchange point maintenance costs, 1 internet exchange point upgrade costs, upgrades recommended to 2 be performed on an internet exchange point, and the optimum 3 number of internet exchange points for the state. The office 4 and the commission shall submit a report, including findings 5 and recommendations, to the general assembly by December 15, 6 2020. > 7 7.
