ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 6 (1) For the purposes of providing assistance under the high 7 quality jobs program as described in section 15.335B : 8 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 13,650,000 9 (2) From the moneys appropriated in this lettered paragraph 10 “a”, the economic development authority may use not more than 11 $1,000,000 for purposes of providing infrastructure grants to 12 mainstreet communities under the main street Iowa program. 13 (2A) From the moneys appropriated in this lettered 14 paragraph “a”, the economic development authority shall 15 allocate $2,000,000 to provide financial assistance to 16 businesses engaged in disaster recovery as defined in section 17 15.327. 18 (2B) Notwithstanding section 15.335C, subsection 1, 19 paragraph “a”, a business engaged in disaster recovery as 20 defined in section 15.327 shall qualify for project completion 21 assistance pursuant to section 15.335C, subsection 1, paragraph 22 “b”, subparagraph (1). 23 (3) As a condition of receiving moneys appropriated in 24 this lettered paragraph “a”, an entity shall testify upon the 25 request of the joint appropriations subcommittee on economic 26 development regarding the expenditure of such moneys. 27 Sec. ___. EFFECTIVE DATE.
