Senate File 2117 S-5007 Amend the amendment, S-5005, to Senate File 2117 as follows: 1 1. By striking page 4, line 30, through page 5, line 15, and 2 inserting: 3 < Sec. ___. SUPPLEMENTAL REIMBURSEMENT FOR GROUND EMERGENCY 4 MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED TO MEDICAID BENEFICIARIES. The 5 department of human services shall submit a Medicaid state 6 plan amendment to the centers for Medicare and Medicaid 7 services of the United States department of health and human 8 services to request authorization to establish and administer a 9 methodology to provide supplemental reimbursement to eligible 10 ground emergency medical transportation providers that provide 11 ground emergency medical transportation services to Medicaid 12 beneficiaries. For purposes of this section, “eligible ground 13 emergency medical transportation provider” means a provider who 14 provides ground emergency medical transportation services to 15 Medicaid beneficiaries and is enrolled as a Medicaid provider 16 during the period being claimed. 17 The emergency medical transportation intergovernmental 18 transfer obligation established under this section is 19 contingent upon the continuation of the federal Medicaid 20 funding methodology in effect on the effective date of this 21 Act. If the federal methodology is changed after the effective 22 date of this Act in a manner that negatively impacts the 23 intergovernmental transfer obligation, as determined by the 24 department, the department shall no longer be obligated to 25 continue the intergovernmental transfer. > 26 2.
