Page 12, by striking lines 12 through 20 and inserting: 12 < Sec. ___. Section 724.22, Code 2017, is amended by adding 13 the following new subsections: 14 NEW SUBSECTION . 8. A parent, guardian, or spouse who is 15 twenty-one years of age or older, of a minor under the age of 16 fourteen years who allows that minor to possess a pistol or 17 revolver or the ammunition pursuant hereto, shall be strictly 18 liable to an injured party for all damages resulting from the 19 possession of the pistol or revolver or ammunition therefor by 20 that minor. 21 NEW SUBSECTION . 9. A parent, guardian, spouse, or 22 instructor, who knowingly provides direct supervision under 23 subsection 5, of a person while intoxicated as provided 24 under the conditions set out in section 321J.2, subsection 25 1, or under the influence of an illegal drug, commits child 26 endangerment in violation of section 726.6, subsection 1, 27 paragraph “i” . 28 Sec. ___. Section 726.6, subsection 1, Code 2017, is amended 29 by adding the following new paragraph: 30 NEW PARAGRAPH . i.
