Any person who is injured in person or property 9 resulting from the use of consumer fireworks by a 10 purchaser of such consumer fireworks has a right of 11 action for all damages actually sustained, severally 12 or jointly, against any retailer or community group 13 issued a license pursuant to this section who sold the 14 consumer fireworks to the purchaser without verifying 15 that the purchaser maintains a valid liability 16 insurance policy as required by subsection 4, paragraph 17 “0c” of this section. 18 9. A person who purchases consumer fireworks shall 23 maintain a liability insurance policy with coverage 24 of at least one million dollars at the time that 25 such consumer fireworks are purchased. The policy 26 shall provide for personal injury and property damage 27 protection adequate to compensate persons entitled to 28 compensation because of injury or damage as a result of 29 the use of such consumer fireworks. 30 b.
