The board of 4 directors of each school district and the authorities in charge 5 of each accredited nonpublic school with enrolled students who 6 participate in an extracurricular interscholastic activity 7 which is a contest in grades seven through twelve shall adopt 8 such protocol by July 1, 2019. 9 b. Personnel of a school district or accredited nonpublic 10 school with enrolled students who participate in an 11 extracurricular interscholastic activity which is a contest in 12 grades seven through twelve shall develop a return-to-learn 13 plan based on guidance developed by the brain injury 14 association of America in cooperation with a student removed 15 from participation in an extracurricular interscholastic 16 activity and diagnosed with a concussion or brain injury, the 17 student’s parent or guardian, and the student’s licensed health 18 care provider to accommodate the student as the student returns 19 to the classroom. > 20 11.
