Page 27, after line 14 by inserting: 6 < Sec. ___. INDUSTRY OR SECTOR PARTNERSHIP TASK FORCE AND 7 REPORT. 8 1. For purposes of this section, “industry or sector 9 partnership” means the same as defined in section 84A.2, as 10 enacted by this Act. 11 2. a. An industry or sector partnership task force is 12 established consisting of the following members: 13 (1) The director of the department of education or the 14 director’s designee. The director shall not designate for 15 this position the same individual designated pursuant to 16 subparagraph (3) or (4). 17 (2) Two representatives of the department of workforce 18 development appointed by the director of the department. 19 (3) The director of the department for the blind or the 20 director’s designee. 21 (4) The administrator of the division of vocational 22 rehabilitation services of the department of education or the 23 administrator’s designee. 24 (5) The administrator of the division of community colleges 25 of the department of education or the administrator’s designee. 26 (6) Two superintendents, or the superintendents’ designees, 27 of community colleges, appointed by the Iowa association of 28 community college presidents. 29 (7) Six representatives of the business community with 30 experience working with industry sector boards appointed by the 31 Iowa association of business and industry. 32 (8) Two representatives of labor organizations with 33 experience working with industry sector boards appointed by 34 the largest statewide labor organization representing state 35 -1- SF2353.4902 (1) 87 je/rj 1/ 2 #1. #2. #3.
employees. 1 b. The membership of the task force shall also include 2 four members of the general assembly. The legislative members 3 shall serve as ex officio, nonvoting members of the task force, 4 with one member to be appointed by each of the following: the 5 majority leader of the senate, the minority leader of the 6 senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, and the 7 minority leader of the house of representatives. 8 c. The ex officio, nonvoting members of the task force 9 appointed by the majority leader of the senate and the speaker 10 of the house of representatives shall serve as cochairpersons 11 of the task force. 12 3. The cochairpersons of the task force shall jointly 13 convene the task force. The task force shall make 14 recommendations for improving operating efficiencies of 15 industry or sector partnerships in this state. The task force 16 shall submit its findings and recommendations in a report to 17 the governor and the general assembly no later than December 18 31, 2018. > 19 4.
