Page 10, by striking lines 8 through 18 and inserting 3 < 11A, the district of residence may reduce by an amount equal 4 to the average cost per pupil of providing the cocurricular 5 or extracurricular activity in which the pupil participates 6 from the amount calculated by the school district of residence 7 under subparagraph (1). At the discretion of the pupil’s 8 parent or guardian, a pupil may participate in any cocurricular 9 or extracurricular activity offered by the school district 10 of residence for which the student qualifies. For purposes 11 of this subparagraph (2), cocurricular or extracurricular 12 activities include but are not limited to music, drama, speech, 13 debate, student council, cheerleading, and interscholastic 14 athletics.
