Section 232.69, subsection 3, paragraph d, 6 subparagraph (3), Code 2018, is amended to read as follows: 7 (3) A training program using such an approved curriculum 8 offered by the department of human services, the department of 9 education, an area education agency, a school district, the 10 Iowa law enforcement academy, or a similar public agency. In 11 developing an approved curriculum for purposes of this section, 12 the department of education, area education agencies, and 13 school districts shall consult with the Iowa coalition against 14 sexual assault or a similar organization to include appropriate 15 sexual assault awareness training in the approved curriculum. > 16 2.
