Page 5, by striking lines 7 through 17 and inserting: 3 < ___. Page 6, by striking line 24 and inserting: 4 < 1. a. The state registrar shall, each week, compare lists 5 of persons who > 6 ___. Page 6, by striking lines 27 through 29 and 7 inserting < and shall issue a voter identification card to 8 each eligible elector whose name appears in the department of 9 transportation’s files, to each registered voter whose name 10 does not appear in the department of transportation’s files, 11 and to every other person that the state registrar determines 12 to be an eligible elector. 13 b. The state registrar shall enter into agreements under 14 chapter 28E with state agencies and political subdivisions to 15 periodically receive access to agency and political subdivision 16 records for the purposes of determining whether a person named 17 in those records who resides in this state is an eligible 18 elector. 19 c. The voter identification card shall include the name 20 of the registered voter, a signature line above which the 21 registered voter shall sign the voter identification card, 22 the registered voter’s identification number assigned to the 23 voter pursuant to section 47.7, subsection 2, and an additional 24 four-digit personal identification number assigned by the state 25 commissioner. 26 d. A voter identification card issued under this section 27 shall be sent by nonforwardable mail and shall include 28 instructions on the requirements of election day identity 29 verification requirements, including a complete list of the 30 acceptable forms of identification described in section 49.78, 31 subsections 2 and 3. >> 32 2.
