The board of medicine and the board of 7 psychology shall adopt joint rules in regard to the 8 following: 9 a. Education and training requirements for 10 prescription certificates pursuant to sections 154B.10 11 and 154B.11. 12 b. Specific minimum standards for the terms, 13 conditions, and framework governing the collaborative 14 practice agreement and for governing the limitations 15 on the prescriptions eligible to be prescribed and 16 populations eligible to be prescribed to as specified 17 in section 154B.1, subsection 2. 18 2. The board of medicine shall consult with the 19 university of Iowa Carver college of medicine and 20 clinical and counseling psychology doctoral programs at 21 regents institutions in the development of the rules 22 pertaining to education and training requirements in 23 sections 154B.10 and 154B.11. 24 3. The joint rules, and any amendments thereto, 25 adopted by the board of medicine and the board of 26 psychology pursuant to this section and section 154B.14 27 shall only be adopted by agreement of both boards 28 through a joint rule-making process. > 29 2. The 7 board of psychology and the board of medicine, pursuant 8 to joint rules adopted by the boards, shall determine 9 sufficient practica to competently train the applicant 10 in the treatment of a diverse patient population. > 11 9.
