parking

practitioner’s,

chiropractor’s
statement
shall

state

period
of
time
during
which
the
person
is

expected
to
be
disabled
and
the
period
of
time
for
6
which
the
permit
should
be
issued,
not
to
exceed
six
7
months.
The
department
may
waive
the
requirement
that
8
the
applicant
furnish
the
applicant’s
social
security
9
number,
Iowa
driver’s
license
number,
or
nonoperator’s
10
identification
card
number
when
the
application
for
11
a
temporary
persons
with
disabilities
parking
permit
12
is
made
on
behalf
of
a
person
who
is
less
than
one
13
year
old.
The
department
may
accept
a
certification
14
of
disability
from
the
United
States
department
15
of
veterans
affairs
in
lieu
of
a
statement
from
a
16
physician,
physician
assistant,
advanced
registered
17
nurse
practitioner,
or
chiropractor.
The
department

may
adopt
rules
pursuant
to
chapter
17A
detailing
19
the
requirements
for
an
acceptable
certification
of
20
disability.
