Section 327F.39, Code 2016, is amended by 9 adding the following new subsection: 10 NEW SUBSECTION . 5A. Insurance. A railroad worker 11 transportation company shall maintain financial 12 liability coverage, as defined in section 321.1, 13 subsection 24B, for each motor vehicle owned by the 14 company or operated by a driver on behalf of the 15 company in the amount of at least one million dollars 16 because of bodily injury to or death of one or more 17 persons and injury to or destruction of property 18 of others in any one accident. A railroad worker 19 transportation company shall also maintain uninsured 20 and underinsured motor vehicle coverage for each motor 21 vehicle owned by the company or operated by a driver on 22 behalf of the company in the amount of at least five 23 hundred thousand dollars because of bodily injury to or 24 death of one person in any one accident, one million 25 dollars because of bodily injury to or death of two 26 persons in any one accident, one million five hundred 27 thousand dollars because of bodily injury to or death 28 of three persons in any one accident, and two million 29 dollars because of bodily injury to or death of four or 30 more persons in any one accident. > 31 3.
