Section 915.94, Code 2015, is amended to 3 read as follows: 4 915.94 Victim compensation fund. 5 1. A victim compensation fund is established 6 as a separate fund in the state treasury. Moneys 7 deposited in the fund shall be administered by the 8 department and dedicated to and used for the purposes 9 of section 915.41 and this subchapter . In addition, 10 the department may use moneys from the fund for the 11 purpose of the department’s prosecutor-based victim 12 service coordination, including the duties defined in 13 sections 910.3 and 910.6 and this chapter , and for the 14 award of funds to programs that provide services and 15 support to victims of domestic abuse or sexual assault 16 as provided in chapter 236 , to victims under section 17 710A.2 , and for the support of an automated victim 18 notification system established in section 915.10A . The 19 2. For each fiscal year, the department may also 20 use up to one hundred thousand dollars from the fund to 21 provide training for victim service providers. 22 3. For each fiscal year, the department may also 23 use up to thirty-five thousand dollars from the fund 24 to reimburse the office of the secretary of state 25 for administrative costs associated with the address 26 confidentiality program established in chapter 9E which 27 exceed moneys remitted to the office of the secretary 28 of state in that fiscal year pursuant to section 29 602.8108, subsection 6A. 30 4.
