Section 468.187, Code 2013, is amended 4 to read as follows: 5 468.187 Agreements with outside owners or other 6 districts. 7 1. Levee and drainage districts are empowered to 8 enter into agreements with the owners of lands lying 9 inside or outside of said districts, or with other 10 levee and drainage districts or municipalities, to 11 provide levee protection or drainage for such lands on 12 such terms as the board may agree and subject to the 13 following terms and conditions: 14 1. a. The facilities of the district furnishing 15 the service shall not be overburdened. 16 2. b. There shall be no additional cost to the 17 district furnishing the service. 18 3. c. The agreement shall be in writing, be made 19 a part of the drainage records and shall include all 20 of the following: 21 a. (1) The description of the lands to be served ; . 22 b. (2) The location of tile lines constructed or 23 to be constructed ; . 24 c. (3) The consideration to be paid to the 25 district furnishing the service and the classification 26 of the lands to be served ; and . 27 d. (4) Such other provisions as the board deems 28 necessary. 29 2. The provisions in an agreement described in 30 subsection 1 modify other provisions of this chapter 31 applicable to such lands. > 32 2.
