NEW SECTION . 279.9C School safety plan. 3 Each board of directors of a school district shall 4 develop and implement a comprehensive emergency 5 management plan that addresses school safety, security 6 procedures, and emergency guidelines relating to school 7 shootings, assaults, and other incidences that threaten 8 the safety and security of school students and school 9 employees. The emergency management plan shall include 10 training procedures for teachers and other school 11 employees and students and shall also include a plan to 12 develop and implement school-community partnerships, 13 including mental health service partnerships, in the 14 local community. The emergency management plan shall 15 authorize all school employees with a valid permit to 16 carry weapons to carry a weapon on school grounds. > 17 2.
