Section 236.3, subsection 1, paragraph f, 8 Code 2014, is amended to read as follows: 9 f. Section 664A.7, subsection 5, Code 2014, 13 is amended to read as follows: 14 5. a. Violation Except as provided in paragraph 15 “b” , violation of a no-contact order entered for the 16 offense or alleged offense of domestic abuse assault 17 in violation of section 708.2A or a violation of 18 a protective order issued pursuant to chapter 232 , 19 236 , 598 , or 915 constitutes a public offense and is 20 punishable as a simple misdemeanor. Alternatively, the 21 court may hold a person in contempt of court for such a 22 violation, as provided in subsection 3 . 23 b. Violation of a protective order issued pursuant 24 to chapter 236 where the violation results in the 25 death of an unborn child is punishable as a class “D” 26 felony. > 27 3.
