The petition may also include a provision that 5 the voter-approved physical plant and equipment levy 6 provided in section 298.2 will be voted upon at the 7 election conducted under section 275.18 . The petition 8 may also include a provision that the revenue purpose 9 statement provided in section 423F.3 will be voted upon 10 at the election conducted under section 275.18. 11 Sec. ___. Section 275.20, Code 2014, is amended to 12 read as follows: 13 275.20 Separate vote in existing districts. 14 The voters shall vote separately in each existing 15 school district affected and voters residing in the 16 entire existing district are eligible to vote upon the 17 proposition to create a new school corporation and the 18 proposition to levy the voter-approved physical plant 19 and equipment levy under section 298.2 , if the petition 20 included a provision for a vote to authorize the 21 levy on any additional provision authorized pursuant 22 to section 275.12, subsection 5 . If a proposition 23 receives a majority of the votes cast in each of at 24 least seventy-five percent of the districts, and also 25 a majority of the total number of votes cast in all of 26 the districts, the proposition is carried. > 27 2.
