A vehicle 46 that does not pass a subsequent inspection and receives 47 an out-of-service violation in such inspection shall 48 be removed from service until such time as the vehicle 49 passes an inspection. shall establish by rule a procedure for returning 1 such vehicles to service. The board shall define 2 out-of-service violations by rule. Such definitions 3 shall include any deficiency under which operation of 4 a vehicle would create an immediate risk to the safety 5 of the driver, passengers, or the general public. The 6 department of education shall include in its vehicle 7 maintenance and inspection manual procedures for 8 inspections of vehicles otherwise used to transport 9 children, the procedure for returning vehicles 10 to service, and the definitions of out-of-service 11 violations. > 12 18.
