Page 48, after line 20 by inserting: 4 < DIVISION ___ 5 TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE AID 6 Sec. ___. Section 257.31, subsection 17, paragraph 7 a, Code 2013, is amended to read as follows: 8 a. If a district’s average transportation costs 9 per pupil exceed the state average transportation 10 costs per pupil determined under paragraph “c” by one 11 hundred fifty seventy percent, the committee may grant 12 transportation assistance aid to the district. Such 13 aid shall be miscellaneous income and shall not be 14 included in district cost. 15 Sec. ___. APPLICABILITY. This division of this Act 16 applies to school budget years beginning on or after 17 July 1, 2014. >> 18 2.
